Thomas Jones' obituary of David Lloyd George

1.8 MiB drawing or desktop publishing document in "Documents".

Thomas Jones was a distinguished civil servant, author and academic. He was deputy secretary to the Cabinet under Lloyd George and wrote a biography of Ll.G published in 1951, as well as writing about him for the Dictionary of National Biography. Among his other writings was a volume published in 1946, The Native Never Returns, being a series of lectures he delivered over the previous few years. Included in it is a transcription of his tribute to Ll.G given on the radio on the day of his death. The peice has been forwarded to the Society by Michael Meadowcroft who tells us it has some sharp insights!
