New talk added to pre-2007 archive - The Royal Prerogative

February 28, 2008 6:18 PM

Anti-war protestAn important previous talk to the Society in 2004 has today been added to the pre-2007 archive page. It was given by David Gladstone, descendant of the Grand Old Man and former British diplomat. It is based on a submission David made to the Public Affairs Select Committee of Parliament on the same subject in 2003, in the wake of the way British troops were committed to fight in the Iraq war on the basis not of popular or Parliamentary consent but by use by the government of the The Royal Prerogative.

You can read the text of the talk by opening the pre-2007 archive page on the main navigation menu.
