Lloyd George Society elects a new Vice President

The AGM of the Lloyd George Society held on 26 February 2022 agreed to the election of Lady Elizabeth Gibson-Morgan as a new Vice President of the Society. Elizabeth has become a frequent and much appreciated speaker at the Society’s weekend schools over the past few years sharing her wide and detailed academic knowledge on subjects such as French politics, Brexit, the British constitution and aspects of devolution.
Elizabeth Gibson-Morgan is Professor in Law and Languages at the University of Poitiers, and at the Bordeaux Law School in France, and is Senior Research Fellow in Constitutional Law at King’s College, London. Her current research is on the House of Lords reform, devolution, the UK Supreme Court and the codification of the British Constitution. She is the author of (Cardiff: University of Wales Press, 2017).
Elizabeth is the second wife of historian and Labour peer Professor Lord Kenneth Morgan, who has been a Vice President of the Society and speakler at Society events for many years. The proposal to elect Elizabeth was warmly received by members and passed unanimously. We look forward to welcoming Elizabeth back to future schools in her new role.
