Death of Mair Thomas
It is with great sadness that we have to pass on the news of the death of Mair Thomas, a former member of the Lloyd George Society from its very beginning and a loyal supporter of the weekend schools, who passed away on 14 July at the University Hospital of Wales. She was 95 years of age and had been in failing health for some months. Mair Thomas was the sister of the late Sir Maldwyn Thomas and and the sister-in-law of Dame Maureen Thomas. Sir Maldwyn was a former Liberal parliamentary candidate, President of the Welsh Liberal Party and the first President of the Lloyd George Society.
Mair was widely known and liked amongst the Welsh Liberals and members of the Lloyd George Society.
The funeral service will be held at the Wenallt Chapel, Thornhill Crematorium today, July 25th at 2.45pm.
