Lloyd George and other families exhibition – Pembrokeshire 17-19 June

To commemorate the hundred years since David Lloyd George took up the post of Prime Minister, the UK’s first and only Welshman to hold such high office; the wardens of Jordanston Church, also known as St Cwrda, near Fishguard in Pembrokeshire are planning an exhibition reflecting Lloyd George’s life, family and career.

Lloyd George’s family were originally from Pembrokeshire. In fact, in the church cemetery you can find the graves of his father, grandfather, grandmother, and step grandfather. His family farmed the neighbouring farm of Trecoed. While the event is still very much in the planning stages, its is intended to include information, pictures and artefacts relating to Lloyd George and his family.

Farmhouse refreshments will be available throughout the weekend and a warm welcome awaits anyone who wishes to attend the festival. All proceeds will go to further restore and maintain the church.
