Celebrating David Lloyd George – Saturday 23 November, 2013 in Birmingham

The , together with the (BMI), warmly invite you to a jointly organised one-day conference to mark the birth of David Lloyd George in 1863 – as part of the series of events which the Society has undertaken in the Welsh Wizard’s 150th anniversary year. This special day-school will look at Lloyd George’s politics and legacy around key themes, moments and personalities in his life.
The conference will hear talks from distinguished historians and experts on Lloyd George, his life and times.

13.30 – 14.30 Lloyd George and Winston Churchill as War Leaders: Professor Richard Toye, Exeter University
14.30 – 1530 The legacy of David Lloyd George: Professor Lord Kenneth Morgan
15.30 – 16.00 Close of conference

The conference will be held at the BMI’s Grade II listed building, pictured above, conveniently located in the centre of Birmingham.
