Society chairman to stand in police commissioner election

Lloyd George Society chairman, Winston Roddick QC, is one of the candidates in this month’s elections for police and crime commissioner for North Wales. Mr Roddick who was born in Caernarfon is fighting on his distinguished career in the criminal justice system including being Wales’ first Counsel General, the most senior legal adviser to the Welsh Assembly. Mr Roddick is standing as an Independent candidate. Neither the Liberal Democrats or Plaid Cyrmu are putting up candidates and Mr Roddick has received the endorsement of some senior figures in those parties.
