Friends of the Lloyd George Museum/Cyfeillion Amgueddfa Lloyd George – Rhaglen 2008-2009 Programme

The Friends of the Lloyd George Museum exist to promote the interests of the Lloyd George museum in Llanystumdwy by:
*providing support and assistance for the Museum and its educational use
*organising and publicising lectures and other events
*raising funds
*assisting with new developments
*providing funds for purchasing suitable items for display and research
The Friends have recently published details of their series of lectures for 2008-2009. Admission to all lectures is free of charge to members of the Friends of the Lloyd George Museum and annual membership is only £10.
The meetings are held at the museum and light refreshment is served at the end of the evening.
Unfortunately the first talk has already taken place, that was Ffion Hague on her new book about the women in Lloyd George’s life, ‘The Pain and the Privilege’ but the rest of the programme for 2008-09 is:
17 October 2008 at 7.00pm – The Annual General Meeting of the Friends followed by Dr Eurwyn William on the mission of the National Museum for Wales: To teach the world about Wales and the People of Wales about their Motherland: in Welsh
21 November 2008 at 7.30pm – Rufus Adams: Lloyd George, The Man who won the War: in English
16 January 2009 at 7.30pm – John Dilwyn Williams on Llanystumdwy during Lloyd George’s boyhood: in Welsh
20 February 2009 at 7.30pm – Dr J Graham Jones: An Earldom for Lloyd George: in English
20 March 2009 at 7.30pm – Rev. Emlyn Richards: The Landlord, the Tenant and Farmworker: in Welsh
