For Your Viewing Pleasure – TV Programmes on Lloyd George & the National Library of Wales

We’d like to bring to your attention a programme on S4C and the S4C/Clic website that delves into the secrets of the National Library of Wales.

Cyfrinachau’r Llyfrgell (Best Kept Secrets) is now in its second series on S4C. Presenter Dot Davies takes well-known stars on a personal and emotional journey through the corridors of the National Library of Wales – Home to our Secrets. In this series there is also a section on Lloyd George. 

Four of Wales’ well known personalities – Mark Drakeford, Sian Phillips,  Scott Quinnell and Caryl Lewis – feature in this new series, in which the Library itself plays a crucial role and is a firm character. The first programme featuring Mark Drakeford was broadcast on Tuesday 16 September (and will be repeated on Sunday at 10pm).There was a fair amount of Lloyd George in the programme including the connection between Mark Drakeford and Lloyd George.
