Following on from our post about the retirement of the longest-serving member of Powys Council, Cllr Gareth Morgan, we are delighted to see that he has passed the baton to Powys’ youngest councillor, Glyn Preston.

Gareth and Glyn are members of the Lloyd George Society, and Glyn is also a committee member of the society. We are delighted that Powys will continue to be represented by someone who is just as dedicated to public service as Gareth is. We’re doubly happy that the Lloyd George Society continues to attract such a high-class of membership and committee members.

Good luck to Cllr Glyn Preston, who has big shoes to fill but will continue to be a superb champion for his constituents. Also, again, thank you, Cllr Gareth Morgan for your 52 years of service. Enjoy your retirement.
