Lloyd George Society Member Recognised for a Period of Elected Service Worthy of Lloyd George Himself
Councillor Gareth Morgan is standing down after 52 years of service to Llanidloes on Powys County Council. First elected as a Liberal to Montgomery County Council in 1970, he is the only councillor to have been on Powys County Council since it was formed.
The Lloyd George Society would like to say congratulations to our friend and society member. After diligently serving your community for so long, you deserve the rest. We’re sure the Council and Community will miss you but are undoubtedly better for having had you as their representative.
