Mark Lewis Jones as David Lloyd George – more details of an intriguing talk

In commemoration of the start of the First World War in August 1914 the BBC commissioned a major drama serial called . The drama tracks the progress towards the start of the war from the moment that the Archduke Franz Ferdinand is assassinated to Great Britain’s declaration of war on the 4th August. One of the central figures in the drama both on TV and historically was David Lloyd George. The part of the future Welsh Prime Minister (later known as ‘the man who won the war’) was played by the Welsh actor Mark Lewis Jones. Mark will be addressing Gorwel in his talk on:
