Remembering David Lloyd George
We have learned that Lady Shirley Hooson, our Vice-president and widow of Lloyd George Society founder member Emlyn Hooson, has unfortunately suffered a stroke and is in hospital in Aberystwyth. Lady Hooson is expected to recover but it is likely to be a prolonged process and she will be transferred to a specialist stroke unit in Newtown when she is well enough. We have been asked to advise Society members that the family would prefer that at present visitors should come from within the family itself or just very close friends. The hospital doesn’t allow flowers but Lady Hooson does appreciate receiving cards or letters. We have sent a card wishing Lady Hooson a quick recovery on behalf of the Lloyd George Society and any further cards or letters from well-wishers would be welcome.
