The next weekend school will be held at the Hotel Commodore, Llandrindod Wells, Powys from the evening of Friday 19 until lunchtime on Sunday 21 February 2010.
Speakers who have confirmed they will attend are: Professor Lord Kenneth Morgan who will speak on Gladstone and Abraham Lincoln and their influence on Lloyd George, Lord Carlile of Berriew, Kirsty Williams AM (leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats) and Dr Lawrence Goldman of Oxford University the editor of the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography.
The costs of the school will be:
For the whole weekend – £123
Excluding Friday night and Saturday breakfast – £70
If not requiring accommodation:
Friday dinner – £17
Saturday lunch – £12
Saturday dinner – £17
Tea and coffee- £3 per session
Registration fee £10 (members £5) – the registration fee is not included in the £123 overall cost and is charged irrespective of the length of stay. If you wish to attend the Saturday dinner only, no registration fee is payable.
There is no extra charge for a single room. All rooms have en suite facilities. Children under 12 years, sharing accommodation with their parents will receive a 50% discount.
To encourage new members the first ten bookings for the full weekend received from people who have not attended previously will receive a discount of 50%.
